Rivka Gangte, received placement at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

(October 12, 2024) Our newsletter was informed last week that 4 of our students, recipients of Degel Menashe scholarship program, have successfully completed their course and graduated with BSc in nursing. They are Naomi Hmar from Beit El, Arbi Hnamte from Nitzan, Dafna Gangte and Rivka Gangte from Kiryat Arba. Degel Menashe had been supporting them along with others for the duration of their studies. So far, Rivka Gangte has even received a placement at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, Jerusalem. The other three are waiting and our newsletter had been told it will only be time before they find placements very soon. Degel Menashe sends its heartiest congratulations to all of them, that they will continue on their path of successful endeavors and serve as an inspiration to all aspiring students in the future.

MAZAL TOV!

7th October, Jolly Michal Thangjom, mother of Degel Menashe's executive director Isaac Thangjom, donated a Sefer Torah in memory of her beloved late husband, Joshua LS Thangjom, IAS (retd) and dedicated to all her children and grandchildren at Nofei Mamrei, Kiryat Arba. It was a joyous occasion attended by over a 100 guests including leading rabbis of the town and its mayor, Israel Abramson. In his speech, the chief rabbi of Kiryat Gat, Rav Ben Hamo said that we will continue to pray for the aliya of the remaining Bnei Menashe who facing imminent dangers to their lives. This Torah stands as a resolute stance taken by all the valiant, brave soldiers of the IDF, hostages, victims of terror, Bnei Menashe and all of AM ISRAEL. The Torah represents the eternity of Israel and our resilience in the face of horrific atrocities we are facing in Israel and in the erstwhile state of Manipur.

עם ישראל חי!
